It's been such a pleasure working with Don Wenner Sr. We really feel he has our best interests at heart and he has gone above and beyond in helping us. He personally went to our house to check on it and let contractors inside because we don't live in the area. He found good contractors at reasonable prices to do the work needed on the house, too. He researched the area and provided us a great deal of information to help select the best selling price. He has a keen insight about the area and gave us very good advice. He has a lovely manner about him - kind and informative. Despite losing a great deal of money on this house, this was the best and smoothest experience we've had during the process of selling it. And, regarding the process, working with Patricia has been an absolute pleasure, as well. She is also very friendly, responsive and helpful. I feel she also has our best interests at heart, too. Both she and Don are clearly very good at what they do. My husband and I couldn't recommend them highly enough!

For Dave and Shawna, owning a home while living halfway across the country was a burden they no longer wanted to bear. Now living in New Mexico, they had originally contacted Don Wenner, Sr., DLP Inside Sales Specialist, a few years ago to sell their home in St. Augustine, FL. They had originally built the home during the peak of the housing market in a beautiful, residential neighborhood, before moving out of state. Due to the downturn in the housing market and a tenant residing in their former home, Dave and Shawna decided to hold off, but kept in contact with Don, who kept them current with Florida property values and sales. 

This past spring, these long-distance homeowners decided it was the right time to sell. Unable to travel back east, they relied on Don, who went out of his way to help get the house in tip-top shape and back on the market. Don commented, “Dave and Shawna’s home needed some repairs and updates like window repairs, paint, outside work. I worked with contractors and other handymen in order to get them fair estimates and repairs done properly and on time.” He also worked with utility companies to have home bills put back into his homeowners’ names after their tenant moved out. Don was their point person on the ground in Florida as they had no family or friends in the area to help out. 

Once the home was priced to sell as accurately as possible, multiple offers came in quickly and the house went under agreement. Although Dave and Shawna didn’t quite break even on what they had originally paid to have the home built, it was much better than it could have been. They were thrilled with the outcome because of being so far away, in addition to competing with brand new homes being built in the area that had new and more modern amenities. And, Don even reduced his commission from 6 to 5%, which they greatly appreciated.
